Did you know that there are only two electron microscopes in Sweden? And one of them is located at the Arrhenius Laboratory at Stockholm University. Listening and learning from each other about our different areas of research is key to this interdisciplinary group project, so for our first meeting PhD candidate James Cho showed artist Olga Krüssenberg and the rest of cluster 4 around his workplace. This incredible invention uses electrons instead of light to make atomic structures visible. Made us think about how using different tools and perspectives open up to new ways of seeing and knowing. Cameras and microscopes are both tools for unveiling the invisible. Regardless of scale, the medium-specific qualities of photography remain the same.
